After over five decades of dedicated leadership, Harry C. McGill, long-time owner of McGill Hose & Coupling, Inc., has announced with much pride, his retirement and the successful transition of the company to his children, Ainsley McGill-Gaboury and Alex C. McGill. The transition represents a continuation of the family legacy and a commitment to sustaining the company’s values of excellence and customer satisfaction.

This move, that took place on December 31st, 2023,  ensures the future of the thriving family business founded by Harry’s father, Harry A. McGill in 1962. Both Ainsley and Alex, serving as Vice Presidents for the past decade, bring extensive experience and a shared passion for excellence to their new roles as co-owners.

Ainsley and Alex, each possessing years of expertise in operations and customer relations, are uniquely prepared to guide McGill Hose & Coupling into its next chapter. With Harry’s legacy of excellence as their compass and their own vision for the future, Ainsley and Alex are poised to propel McGill Hose & Coupling to even greater heights. The company’s future is bright, driven by a team committed to quality, and an unwavering dedication to serving its customers.

Non-Profit Spotlight:

Hope for Youth and Families is dedicated to helping youth and families in undeserved communites. Their mission is to provide them with resources and opportunities they need to thrive. HYFF employs a committed in-house team to oversee all of their programs. Each program is staffed by trained experts that utilize best practices. They employ a combination of education, a holistic approach, and multigenerational assistance. All programs offered through HYFF are free to youth and families, and their belief is that every young person deserves the resources necessary to create a pathway to success.

Ribbon Cutting At Gazebo Too

Join us for a fabulous occasion as we celebrate the grand opening of the new Gazebo Too on North Main Street in East Longmeadow. We are thrilled to invite you to the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 26th at 3:00 PM. This event marks the introduction of a new business to our beloved North Main Street corridor here in East Longmeadow. We cordially invite everyone from the community to come out and join us in commemorating this exciting milestone.

Hampden County Chambers Unite to Fill the Food Bank

The Hampden County Chambers stand united in our commitment to join forces to support The Food Bank of Western Mass in their mission to fill the shelves and hearts of those in need.  

It is with great pride that we gather to contribute to this vital cause.  We recognize that food insecurity should have no place in our society, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that no family goes hungry. 

Through this event, we aim to collect a bountiful supply of rice and beans, staples that are not only nourishing but also versatile, to be distributed among the network of organizations fighting food insecurity.  Together, we will make a difference by providing sustenance to those who need it most.

Feast In The East

Join the East of the River Five Town Chamber of Commerce (ERC5) as we present the FEAST IN THE EAST Celebration on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 5:00pm – 8:30pm at The Starting Gate at Great Horse.

Sample signature dishes from the area’s best Restaurants, Sweets, and Libations.
Vote for your favorites to take home the coveted ERC5 Feast in the East trophy!
Tickets are $100 for ERC5 members and $120 for non-members, and allow you access to the event, along w/ the opportunity to try dozens of dishes and beverages.

A portion of proceeds from this annual spectacular food tasing event will benefit the ERC5 Scholarship & Business Development Fund.
